Indonesia’s Lion Air Flight Has Gone Missing, Search Operation Begins

JAKARTA, Oct.29 ( – An Indonesian passenger flight operated by Lion Air went missing on Monday when enroute from Jakarta to Pangkalpinang in Bangka Belitung.

The number of people on board is still unclear.

The flight JT 610 lost contact with Tanjung Karang tower in Lampung 13 minutes after it took off from Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) has sent several boats to Tanjung Karawang in West Java, from Tanjung Priok port in Jakarta after it was informed about the location of where the plane might have crashed.
