JAKARTA, Sept.17 (JDN.id) – Indonesia is preparing to host International Monetary Fund and World Bank’s annual meeting that will be held in Bali on Oct.8-14, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan said on Monday.
Luhut added that the preparation is 94 percent completed.
According to the minister, the event will benefit the country with a population of more than 260 million, economically and politically.
Politically the country and its government will be trusted by international community. He said a lot of international leaders have requested such bilateral meetings with the Indonesian President.
Economically, the event will be beneficial for at least the hotel, restaurant and transportation sectors.
The event titled “Voyage to Indonesia” is expected to be attended by around 15,000 people from 189 countries.
