JAKARTA, Aug.29 (JDN.id) – Indonesia’s Pencak Silat athletes won two more gold medals from women’s doubles art and women’s team art on Wednesday, the 11th gold the sport contributed to the host of Asian Games 2018.
Ayu Sidan Wilantari and Ni Made Dwiyanti were collecting the highest score of 574 points in women’s doubles art event. Their points beat six participating countries.
Silver medal from women’s double number went to Thai duo Saowanee Chanthaunee and Oraya Choosuwan with 564 points and bronze to Malaysian Nor Hamizah Abu Hasan and Nur Syazreen A Malik with 558 points.
Meanwhile, women’s team art, Pramudita Yuristya, Lutfi Nurhasanah, and Gina Tri Lestari contributed the 27th gold medal for Indonesia. The trio won 466 points, two points higher than the Vietnamese trio collected.
Prabowo Subianto, chairman of the Indonesian pencak silat association (IPSI) and president of the Inter-Nation Pencak Silat Association (Persilat) handed over the medals to the winners.
