JAKARTA, Aug.25 (JDN.id) – Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) announced on Friday the first doping case in Asian Games 2018, committed by Turkmenistan’s wrestler Rustem Nazarov, and disqualified the athlete from the Games.
The athlete went for an anti-doping test on Aug.17 before competing on Aug.19 at men’s 57-kilogram freestyle division.
Furosemide element was found in his urine sample. Furosemide is in the list of forbidden elements, according to World’s Anti-Doping Agency.
OCA has informed the athlete about the result.
