JAKARTA, Aug.24 (JDN.id) – Indonesian rowing team managed to secure the ninth gold medal for the host country after defeating five other countries in men’s lightweight eight at Jakabaring Sports City in Palembang, South Sumatra on Friday.
The Indonesian men’s team was leading with 6.08,88 minutes, followed by Uzbekistan with 6.12,46 minutes and Hong Kong 6.14,46 minutes.
On Friday morning, Indonesia seized two silver medals from rowing’s men’s quadruple sculls and men’s lightweight four divisions.
The country also earned two bronzes from the sport’s women’s pair and women’s four divisions.
Indonesia is still in the fifth places of total medal tally winning nine golds, seven silvers and eleven bronzes.
