see JAKARTA ,July 25 (JDN.id) – Director general of air transportation at the Ministry of Transport Agus Santoso urged Indonesia’s stakeholders on Tuesday to develop opportunity in the sector, following current international recognition on the country’s upgrading safety aviation.
The International Civil Air Organization (ICAO), the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) have acknowledged the improvement of Indonesia’s safety aviation and allowed the country’s air carriers to fly to their skies.
He said there are many elements that must be taken care of by stakeholders to continue improving airworthiness such as oversight and surveillance from regulator and standard operating procedure from operators. However, the cooperation among regulators and operators should also be intensive, he added.
click The meeting also discussed various issues related to current domestic aviation such as ongoing 2018 hajj transportation and preparation for Asian Games 2018 that will be held in Jakarta and Palembang next month.
