JAKARTA, July 25 (JDN.id) – Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan expressed confidence that Indonesia can reach top ten places in the 18th Asian Games.
“Indonesia will try hard to get the top ten places,” he said in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on Wednesday.
Pandjaitan urged for support from all over NTT for the successful implementation of the Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang next month.
“NTT should be grateful for one of the athletes, runner Muhammad Zohri who was successfully won the 100 meter run in the (international) championship (under 20 year-old) with an extraordinary achievement record of 10.18 seconds,” he said.
Pandjaitan was in NTT for the 2018 Asian Games’ torch relay which was arrived in Lombok International Airport on Wednesday morning from Bali.
The torch relay will pass 18 provinces and 54 cities around Indonesia before arrived at Gelora Bung Karno , Jakarta on August 18.
