source JAKARTA, July 17 (JDN.id) – In a bid to welcome the festivals of democracy this year and next, the National Police (POLRI) has joined forces with state-lender PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia to invite local mass media to participate in a journalistic award campaigning for peaceful elections.
Taking the theme “Together with POLRI, let’s create peaceful 2018 regional elections,” the award expects local online mass media to push for news stories that educate the public to respect for peaceful elections.
The Police and the award organizer held an event on Wednesday in Gandaria City Mall in South Jakarta, attended by the National Police chief Gen. Tito Karnavian to promote the award. Police spokesman Setyo Wasisto, and director for Human Capital at BRI R. Sophia Alizsa also attended the event.
go site The awards fall into four categories, which are: “Smart campaigns anti SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and other social divisions), anti Hoax; Let’s enjoy the festival of democracy and maintain the united Indonesia; Smart in politics without money; and Welcoming the Honest Democracy.”
Prizes include cash, trophy, and a chance to cover the activities of the Police chief Tito Karnavian in the country or overseas. This would include Interpol meetings or cooperations with foreign counterparts.
