JAKARTA, July 18 (JDN.id) – A listed Indonesia’s firm Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) on Wednesday shares $30 million cash dividend, or 25 percent of total 2017’s net profit, to its shareholders.
The decision was made in a shareholders general meeting in June in Jakarta.
The corporate net profit in 2017 rose 25 percent from previous year to $2.45 billion.
Barito’s primary business is petrochemical, which expands to wood manufacturing, property, and plantations.
It will focus to expand its investment in energy sector in the future, CEO Agus Salim Pangestu said.
enter site Last month the company has acquired majority stake, or 66.67 percent, of Indonesia’s leading geothermal energy producer Star Energy.
“After completing the acquisition, we expect to make Barito as an integreted-energy company,” Pangestu said as quoted in the corporate statement.
