JAKARTA, June 23 (JDN.id) – A meeting of the board of commissioners of Indonesia’s financial regulator, known as OJK, appointed Inarno Djayadi as the President Director of the country’s main stock exchange, the Indonesia Stock Exchange for period of 2018-2021.
Djayadi, is currently a commissioner at the IDX, is replacing the outgoing chief Tito Sulistio.
The executive who was born in Yogyakarta on 31 December 1962 has been a commissioner at the IDX since June 2017. His career in the financial industry started in 1989 when he was a treasury officer at the now defunct PT Bank Uppindo.
He then became a director at stock brokerage company PT Aspac Upindo Sekuritas from 1991-1997.
He also held various top positions at other stock brokerages, including the President Commissioner at brokerage PT Maybank Kim Eng Securities (2013 – 2014).
In 2003-2009, he served as the president director of Indonesia Stock Market Clearing House, known as KPEI, a subsidiary of the IDX and held a commissioner position at the clearing house from 2013-2016.
Djayadi is also still holding a position as the President Commissioner of brokerage PT CIMB Sekuritas Indonesia. He secured his bachelor in economy from Gadjah Mada University in 1988.
