JAKARTA, 10 June (JDN.id) – Indonesia’s state-owned retail company Sarinah in cooperation with Designers Ethnic Indonesia Community (KDEI) held an Islamic fashion show on Saturday night to attract more customers to participate in its midnight sale event.
More than 20 national fashion designers from KDEI such as Raizal Boeyoeng Rais, Itang Yunas, Dian Pelangi and Ida Leman showed their creative design which using traditional fabrics fit into modern Muslim outfits.
“The fashion show is part of Sarinah Lebaran Festive 2018, where we are now almost reaching the end of Ramadan month,” Lies Permana Sari, director of retail of Sarinah said in its opening remarks by encouraging the department store’s customers to use the opportunity to get up to 70 percent discount for all products during “Midnight Sale” event this year.

Sarinah as a retail company, as stated in its official website, has commitment to supporting local craftsmen, communities and entrepreneurs to promote Indonesian products. It goal also to serve as the home of Indonesian heritage.
