follow url JAKARTA, 7 June (JDN.id) – Indonesian government has set a team that consists of officials from the Transportation Ministry and the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry to settle a dispute between management of Garuda Indonesia and its labour union, a top official said on Wednesday.
“Our working time table begins today … By the first week of July, we will give our recommendation to the company on what kind of settlement should be done,” Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan told reporters, referring to the new team’s working plans.
“We hope that our customers will remain calm and no need to worry on the plan to strike. We ensure that our flight operation will remain normal,” said the company’s Corporate Secretary Hengki Heriandono.
click here He said that more than 90 percent of the employees’ demands, mostly related with welfare issue, have been fulfilled by the management.
According to Heriandono, Garuda Indonesia Group prepares at more than 150,500 extra seats to anticipate the influx of passenger for Eid-al Fitr festival holiday both for domestic and international flights from June 8 to 24.
